GoldenEye: 00 Heaven is a total conversion for Crysis ;

Its being made in Crysis for various reasons having early been up for debate of that or alternatively ; UE3 engine. Sign up to the forum and have "your say" if you got an opinion there!

The outdoor levels will be so amazing, the technology is cutting edge, which makes longevity even more favorable - and I believe the LOD system is so mod and PC friendly, plus the bonus of destructible environments being able to bring so much depth to the feel of bond universe.

:: Our Goal? ::
Completely recreate the single-player and multi-player portions of the classic, goldeneye 007, but on next-generation PC technology as a prime motivator. Once all of the level of the original & old elements are done, we will move to making extra content for each portion of the mod if we are still motoring on ; to give you something you never thought you'd have, or perhaps always wanted.

It will have a release structure of SP ---> MP ----> overall polish + bonus (if team members dont disperse too much)

First focus is SP, each mission will be released one by one - the idea being that with all skill modes of play, and time attack coupled with new elements such as co-op by us (not including the 3rd party community able to achieve these gametypes with scripting also) will be fair replay value for these mission increments. I estimate these release gaps will be around 2 months. If development takes off however, (not saying it will) we will consider 2-map releases based on the general "mission" parameter established in the original.

Right now is for building a team (if interested sign up and apply with your skills, the earlier the better, we are in need of some dept. leader level modders foremost) and starting art works, as everyone knows its still a little time to go! Here is a little list of what is in store :

Expect by the end of release plan :

[*]All the weapons and gadgets from the original
[*]All multiplayer game-modes
[*]Extra multiplayer game-modes for more online replay (latter patches)
[*]"All bonds" character bonus (final patches)
[*]All the cheat options (as they appear in original for time attack)
[*]The signature Ooo's and Ahh voiced get hit sounds
[*]The ricochets and mimmicking sound effects throughout game[/list]

There is much more detail into the theory stage of this modification on the site so check it out, and some hints will come in the forum as it gets some action.

:: Important Disclaimer ::
Its of course going to be a free mod, and wont profit any of the developers or attempt to harm IP of its various past and present owners. It is in essence fan art for the masses to enjoy.

i remember playing this on the n64. just wondering will it have the akward view? i didn't like the view scheme where it will dop a bit after going where you wanted it to be

Thanks, this is basically all i hope, that people will check up and have a bit of faith....no matter how old the goldeneye legacy is its a lot more quality than a lot of games made today. Thats why we need some talent to bring it alive again, and show that it does compete with the modern games

or try to make more mods based on the films. would take a really long time though, but you would have the assets already made.

I remember playing a HL2 map inside the Aztec + Laboratory, good memory's were brought back. That game was 100% classic. Sign up people!

Now the motion blur that is a part of Crysis is nice, but I think removing it for this mod is a must in order to retain the "Goldeneye 64" feeling.

The mod would set out to create the authentic feel. If you want to play it like Crysis, well.. go play Crysis. Even though Bond had all the powers of the nanosuit in one package wink

GE:S is not only MP only (highly likely), but also not on crysis of course.

Which is a huge change, imo for the good with outdoor map capabilities. I realize its a bit "ugh" for some people that another goldeneye comes out to be made, but this is going to set out to be a lasting mod, DX10 will be here for years, whereas the source one is geared and optomized for DX9, so in a year or two, the only thing it'll have to offer is gameplay since graphics and their physics will appear old to the common gamer (like HL1 is for source players).

We hope to be sorta like the ultimate being SP and MP, and like those crazy dudes who make ROM mods on goldeneye for PC, they keep going for years with that super old technology, and produce cool results constantly even if its a slow process.

I see a chance to have a sorta late rush since this is old IP its timeless really. A lot of our players may flock say 3-4 years away when DX10 is in cement as standard and almost everyone can play crysis on vista with DX10 and wont hesitate to buy that title coz its like $20 by then tongue

I really liked GoldenEye Rouge Agent for the PS2...  I think any mod for Crysis will be great..

Goldeneye the best bond game ever made. I would like to help with the mapping. But first i need to learn the Sandbox 2.
