This is how the 8800 ultra handles Crysis

My 8800 ultra handles crysis awesome at every single detail up!

Q6600 @3.3ghz
4gb ram (6400)
vista 64 bit with dx10
MSI nx8800 ultra  core 660mhz mem 2300mhz

On 1680 x 1050 res with 4x AA and post processing at high with everything rest at very high I've been able to go through the demo at 30/40 fps average.

How do you take screenshots in game? Every time I hit print screen and paste it at paint its all black.

Re: This is how the 8800 ultra handles Crysis

I'm at 1280*1024 with no AA and everything at very high and I get 20-25 FPS average, what did you do to get such good FPS? does post processing make that much of a difference? and you're even at higher resolutions than me!

I have tried fraps too. But I checked the folder and there are no screenshots.

What is your processor speed set to? Also post processing makes a lot of difference in mine. Use the 64 bit version of crysis you can get a mild fps boost. Also what display drivers are you using?

I used fraps and same key(F9) does a last save point or something.

I would use 64-bit if Creative´s X-FI drivers weren´t so bad, and cause BSOD every now and then!? I hate Creative´s so called driver team. IQ must be pretty low over there, in 2 years they have yet to make one decent driver. It´s the only reason why I don´t use Vistax64 anymore, in x86 my system is rock stable(even with creative drivers installed:)).

BTW, I have a hard time believing OP and the performance he claims having?? I´m using lower settings, and still have avg 20-25 fps with DX10, 25-35 average with dx9.

If I got fraps to work I could show my screenshots + framerates.

Re: This is how the 8800 ultra handles Crysis

Oh, trust me, his framerates are totally true. I just tested on his settings (minus the res, I only have a CRT. I used 1600*1200, it's even more stressful) and even turning down the post processing to high was a huge gain in performance with hardly any image quality loss that I noticed, but I wasn't looking too hard at it.

Fraps comes with options. Look through them and set your key to take screen shots and set the folder, etc..

Re: This is how the 8800 ultra handles Crysis

Well im also getting an avarage at 40fps in this game... I have a AMD 6000+, 4gig of RAM and a Geforce 8800GTX... Paying with everything on High, no AA and 1280*1024 in res...

I really dont understand why so many 8800 users gets so bad fps... becouse on my rig, this game looks awsome and plays awsome!

Re: This is how the 8800 ultra handles Crysis

Hey, could anyone tell me what FPS roughly I could get with the system below, I'll just post all the specs coz it might help!

Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
RAM - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit
Graphics Card - EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) (Or the GT when it comes out on OverClockers...)
Monitor - Acer P223W Widescreen LCD Monitor (Res Full - 1680x1050)
PSU - Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

If someone could give me a little insight I'd be happy because I played it on my friends computer and his is at least a year old and he ran it quite high and smooth enough to play without worrying too much.

Lie. I have the same hardware as yours, except for my ultra clocked at 700/2360 and 4xAA destroy my FPS.

seriously, what drivers is the OP running, because my system is very nearly the same as his and I get 1/4 of that framerate.
